Transport yourself to the sun-drenched shores of the Mediterranean in this delicious cooking experience inspired by the simple, vibrant flavors.
In this demonstration-style class, you'll discover how Mediterranean cuisine combines fresh seasonal ingredients, healthy fats, herbs, and vegetables to create meals that are both nourishing and deeply satisfying. Along the way, we'll explore some of the nutrition and lifestyle principles that make the Mediterranean way of eating one of the most celebrated approaches to long-term health and longevity.
On the menu:
Roasted Cauliflower & Grape Salad with Chermoula
Sweet roasted grapes, caramelized cauliflower, and a vibrant North African herb sauce create a beautiful balance of flavors and textures.
Hortopita (Greek Greens Pie)
A rustic Greek favorite featuring tender greens, fresh herbs, and flaky pastry—celebrating the Mediterranean tradition of making vegetables the star of the plate.
Halibut Puttanesca
Wild halibut gently simmered in a bold Italian sauce of tomatoes, olives, capers, garlic, and herbs for a dish that is both elegant and simple.
As always, you'll relax, learn, and enjoy a shared meal together at the end of class while gathering ideas for bringing more Mediterranean-inspired meals into your own kitchen.

Join Functional Nutrition Practitioner Keri Buhman for a demonstration cooking class focused on two nutritional foundations that are often missing from modern diets: protein and fiber. Together, we'll explore how these key nutrients support blood sugar balance, energy, metabolism, healthy estrogen clearance, digestion, muscle maintenance, and long-term hormone health.
You'll learn practical ways to build satisfying meals that help reduce cravings, improve fullness, and provide the nutrients your body needs to thrive through every stage of life.

C'est la Vie Café Classics
Take a trip back to the café and learn to make some of the most-loved recipes from C'est la Vie!
In this fun and interactive cooking demonstration, you'll watch these signature dishes come together step by step while picking up tips and techniques you can easily recreate at home. We'll make creamy tomato basil bisque, the original crêpe batter, albacore tuna salad, fresh rosemary buttermilk dressing, and our rich Dijon cream sauce.
Then we'll put everything together to create café favorites including the soup, tuna melts, Croque Monsieur sandwiches with salad, and sweet crêpes with delicious seasonal fillings.
Feeling adventurous? You'll even have the chance to try your hand at spinning a crêpe!
As always, we'll end the class gathered around the table to enjoy a delicious meal together while sharing stories, recipes, and plenty of C'est la Vie memories.

Farm to Table: Eat the Rainbow!
Wednesday, August 19 | 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
Discover where healthy food begins in this hands-on Farm to Table adventure! Join Functional Nutrition Practitioner and chef Keri Buhman for a fun morning exploring the colorful connection between the farm and your plate.
We'll begin with a guided farm tour to discover what's growing in the gardens and learn how fresh fruits and vegetables make their way from the soil to our meals. Then we'll gather in the kitchen for a lively cooking demonstration featuring delicious, kid-friendly recipes made with seasonal ingredients.
Along the way, kids will learn why it's important to "eat the rainbow" and how different colorful fruits and vegetables help keep our bodies healthy, strong, and full of energy. Best of all, everyone gets to sample tasty, nutritious snacks inspired by the day's harvest!
Perfect for curious young foodies, budding gardeners, and adventurous eaters, this class encourages children to explore new foods, ask questions, and build confidence in the kitchen—all while having fun on the farm!
Workshop Details
- Date: Wednesday, August 19
- Time: 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
- Cost: $35 per child, or save by registering for the full workshop series ($150 per child)
- Recommended Ages: 6–12 years
- Please Note: Children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the class.
- Families are welcome to bring a lunch and enjoy the farm after class until 1:00 PM.
