Progress over perfection.

Keri's Story

How My Journey Started…

By 2021, after years of stress, anxiety, and the physical toll of restaurant life, I felt like my body was revolting against me. I was completely exhausted—physically and emotionally.

When I finally went to my doctor, I laid it all out: digestive issues, joint pain, insomnia, heart palpitations, crippling anxiety, and a growing sense of hopelessness. She listened for my 15 allotted minutes, ran some basic bloodwork, and told me everything looked “normal.” Her only suggestion? Maybe it’s fibromyalgia—and you should try to lose weight.

That cut deep. I had struggled with my weight since childhood, starting Weight Watchers at just 12 years old. Hearing those words left me dismissed, unseen, and defeated.

But something shifted in me that day. I started asking new questions: What if my body isn’t broken? What if it’s been trying to communicate all along, and I just haven’t known how to listen?

That was the turning point. I knew I needed a new approach—one rooted in healing, not just hustling through.

Back to school!

I first discovered my passion for nutrition through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition’s Holistic Health Coach program. It was a wonderful starting point, but I quickly realized I wanted to go much deeper into the science of how nutrition truly impacts the body.

In 2022, I enrolled in the Nutrition Therapy Practitioner (NTP) program through the Nutrition Therapy Association. Even after spending more than two decades in the food industry, that year completely transformed the way I think about food. My mindset shifted from “What am I craving?” to “What does my body need?”

At the same time, I began navigating hormonal changes in my mid-40s. That experience inspired me to complete an Advanced Hormone Health course through IIN, where I gained insight into common challenges women face with thyroid function, adrenal health, and the many stages of menopause.

To expand my practice further, I joined a Functional Clinical Assessment cohort with the NTA. This hands-on training gave me tools to assess reflex points on the body that correspond with organ function and to use Lingual Neuro Testing (LNT) with targeted supplements—allowing me to see in real time how the body responds and whether a specific nutrient will support natural healing.

Most recently, I added a new credential to my name: RHP (Restorative Health Practitioner). Through the Institute of Restorative Health, I completed The Art and Science of Gastrointestinal Healing—a specialized clinician training. With this certification, I’m now trained to interpret GI-MAP stool testing and MRT food sensitivity testing and to design personalized healing protocols that uncover root causes and support whole-body wellness.

What Now?

After closing my French café of 12 years and retiring from nearly three decades in the restaurant industry, I’ve turned my passion for food and wellness into something deeper—helping others find true healing.

Today, my work blends clinical training with a chef’s heart. As a Functional Nutrition Therapy Practitioner (FNTP) and Restorative Health Practitioner (RHP), I create personalized healing protocols designed to uncover root causes, calm inflammation, and restore balance—so you can feel well in your body again.

I also serve as an adjunct professor at Clark College, where I teach in the continuing community education department about the power of food. I am currently in Level 2 Restorative Health training in nutritional blood chemistry, I’m expanding my skills to dig even deeper into the “why” behind symptoms, offering more precise strategies for long-term healing.

At the heart of it all is listening. I know what it feels like not to be heard. My promise is that when you work with me—you will be. I’ll meet you with compassion, science, and tools to guide your body back toward balance and resilience.
