What Is Functional Nutrition?
Functional nutrition is a systems-based, personalized approach that addresses the underlying causes of health imbalances rather than just managing symptoms. It focuses on supporting the body’s optimal physiological function through targeted nutrition, supplement, and lifestyle interventions.

This evidence-informed approach integrates nutritional biochemistry with an understanding of how diet, environmental, and lifestyle factors influence an individual’s health. The goal is to identify and correct imbalances at the root level to promote long-term wellness and resilience.

What Does Working Together Look Like?
When we work together, I recognize that you are the expert on your own body. My role is to guide and support you using clinical tools and a personalized approach.

Before our first session, you’ll complete a set of comprehensive intake forms, including a detailed health history and symptom questionnaire. I’ll carefully review this information, highlight areas of concern, and prepare specific follow-up questions so we can make the most of our time together.

During our session, we’ll focus on your unique health challenges and goals. You’ll leave with clear, actionable recommendations tailored to your needs—so you can start feeling better with a plan that makes sense for you.

Here’s a sample timeline of what to expect:

What Does Working Together Look Like?

When we work together, I view you as the expert on your own body. My role is to help uncover the root causes of your symptoms and support your body’s natural healing through personalized nutrition and lifestyle strategies.

Here’s a sample timeline of what to expect:

Step 1: Free 20-Minute Introductory Consultation Call
We’ll start with a brief Zoom call to discuss your current health concerns and goals. This is a chance to see if functional nutrition is the right fit for your needs and to answer any questions you may have.

Step 2: Intake & Preparation (1 week Prior to Your 90-minute Initial Nutrition Consultation Session)
If we decide to move forward, you’ll schedule your 90-minute initial consultation 1 week out. You’ll receive comprehensive intake forms, including a health history, food & mood journal, and symptom questionnaire.
✔️ These forms need to be completed 2 days before your appointment. I’ll review them in depth, highlight areas of concern, and prepare follow-up questions before we meet.

Step 3: Initial 90-Minute Nutrition Consultation
During our first session, we’ll take a deep dive into your health history and symptoms, identify possible root causes, and create a personalized plan. This may include nutrition and lifestyle recommendations, supplement suggestions, and optional functional testing.

Step 4: Ongoing Support (Optional as part of Take the Plunge Package)
If you choose to continue, we’ll meet regularly for follow-up sessions to fine-tune your plan, monitor progress, and provide continued support and accountability. We can add on Functional lab testing to dive even deeper into your symptoms.
